All Progressives Congress (APC) senate presidential candidate Godswill Akpabio has promised the 10th Senate would work with the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to pay off the nation’s debts.
Akpabio made the pledge during a meeting with the APC Non-Serving Senators Group in Abuja.
Akpabio thanked the ex-lawmakers for their endorsement and promised to justify the confidence they reposed in him upon election as Senate President.
ANN recall that the recent warning by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) that Nigeria’s decade-long rise in public debt could if allowed to continue, create financial and revenue squeeze for the economy in the medium term must be given urgent attention by the authorities.
