2023: Peter Obi Meets Anambra Traditional Rulers Solicits For Their Support

The Presidential candidate for Labour Party Mr. Peter Obi has appealed to the traditional rulers in Anambra state to support his ambition as the February 25th general election draws near.

Obi while speaking with the monarchs at the Anambra state government house in Awka the state capital emphasized that he is the most qualified candidate amongst the contestants and that the presidency is not a retirement home. 

Me. Peter Obi who was the former Governor of Anambra state said amongst the four major contenders running for the presidency, he is the youngest stating It he is prepared and that a new Nigeria is possible. 

” I appeal to you all to support me. Get involved. Nigeria belongs to all of us that is why am offering myself. We want the best for our country. It’s no longer going to be on sentiments. 

“Hundred and thirty three million Nigerians are living in poverty. We have more poor people than India and China combined. Nigeria has the highest unemployed youths. Young people in there productive age are not doing anything. All we hear in Nigeria everyday is bad news.

“The present government have failed to do the right thing. They have created anachy and we want to reverse that. We are going to make the sacrifice and change things around for good. Nigeria is no longer secured. There’s insecurity everywhere. This country is no longer united.  Obi lamented

“We will move Nigeria from consumption to production. We can no longer feed ourself as a country and it is unfortunate that people in government are the once stealing oil. 

“Subsidy is organised crime. Nigeria and Pakistan are almost the same population. about 215 million but they have more roads than Nigeria. They consume less than fifty percent of what we consume daily. 

“Thank God they say am stingy, at list I didn’t steal money. We need Stingy people in Nigeria. If you want to reduce criminality, you have to pull more people out of poverty through creating employment. When people don’t know where there next meal will come from, you can’t imagine what they will do. 

His Royal Majesty Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Achebe, Obi of Onitsha while responding encouraged Me. Peter Obi stating that the support and the OBIdent movement is gaining more acceptance and followers each passing day 

“We believe in you. God will be with you and we know his hands is in your project. You are our son and a good product always sale itself” Achebe stated.
