The Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ashiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu has promised ndi Anambra that he will turn the state into an industrial hub.
Ashiwaju Tinubu made the remark during the APC Presidential Rally at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka on Tuesday
He promised to combat the gully erosion threat that is destroying communities in the state in particular and the Eastern region in general. The APC Presidential flag bearer also described Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo as a visionary, a brilliant man, and a thinker who knows the way.
Tinubu also mentioned how he discovered one Anambra son, Mr. Ben Akabueze, who worked with him in Lagos as Commissioner for Economic Planning and is now Director-General of the Budget office of the federation in the Buhari administration
“We will collaborate in an inclusive manner! When I become President, Soludo will be one of my advisers who will help Nigeria prosper “Tinubu stated.
Tinubu pleaded with voters to vote for him as they voted for Anambra State Governor. He equally assured of training youths to secure well-paying jobs that will enable them to become useful members of the society.
Tinubu stated that the Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and the Labour Party Presidential candidate Mr Peter Obi, cannot be trusted if give the opportunity to rule Nigeria. He described Atiku as one who by his statement has divided the Northern Nigeria by addressing himself as the Northern candidate.
He also accused the PDP of using lies to promise the industrialisation of the country while the members have succeeded in sharing the country”s access among themselves.
“When they come here they lie to you and when they come tell they how long will they take their lies from Port Harcourt to Onitsha.
They lied about industrialisation when they shared your access among themselves and they called it privatization and Atiku says he is the candidate of the North and that is a lie because what he has done is to divide the North “
When Atiku says “wali te Lai ” it means lie – lie and they have forgotten the red line by not knowing that you are hard working, that you can turn the state into an industrial revolution.”
Tinubu further made a biblical allusion when he recalled how St Peter denied his master Jesus Christ three times contending that Mr Peter Obi of the Labour Party would ultimately not keep to his promises but would deny Nigerians as was recorded in the Holy Bible.
“You know that I am not afraid of anyone and I don’t worry about anything at all. The man Peter Obi cannot keep to his promises. We read in the Bible that before cock crow Peter denied Jesus Christ three times and so how can he keep to his promises to you when he cannot keep to the promise he made to God?”
Tinubu further recalled that while he was governor of Lagos state he paid the West African Examination Council WAEC fees for students irrespective of religion or tribe adding that he also facilitated The appointment of Igbo sons and daughters to positions of authority at the state and National levels.
Speaking also Imo state governor Senator Hope Uzodimma thank the people of Anambra state for the massive turn out to the rally urging them to continue on the same guise until victory is realized.
Anambra state Coordinator for the Campaign Council Senator Margery Chuba Okadigbo noted that the crowed at the rally came from the 326 electoral wards in Anambra state stating that they are the grassroot that has come to show their support for the party and it’s Presidential candidate.
The Director General of Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Council and governor of Plateau state Mr. Simon Lalong, expressed happiness over the level of organization and mobilization for the rally and that the party would continue to support the APC in Anambra state.
Ahmed Bola Tinubu was accompanied by his running mate, Kashim Shetima, the Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Organization, Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong, and Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, among others.
