2023 Polls: My sojourn In politics is primarily to touch lives – Ifeanyi Ubah declares

My core objective is to secure, light up, and empower the people of my senatorial district

The senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District and Candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) for the forthcoming Senatorial Election. Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah has restated that his sojourn in politics is primarily to touch lives and provide adequate healthcare and other facilities for the people.

Sen. Ubah made these comment at  Grand Season Hotel, Nnewichi in Nnewi North Local Government during a debate organised by the Nigerian Union of Journalists with the theme ‘Anambra Political Dialogue, the Mace Debate.’

The senator, who took out time to give lucid answers to all the questions thrown by the panel of judges, was amused that the candidates of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Mr Chris Uba and that of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA ), Hon Chris Azubogu amongst others were all conspicuously absent at the debate despite giving assurances to the organisers that they would attend. He stated that it was indeed hilarious that they could not muster the courage to face him in a debate.

Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah told the audience that his core objectives are to secure, light up, and empower the people of the Senatorial District and called for all hands to be on deck in order to ensure that “we do not return back to the old order by coming out enmasse to vote and support the Consolidation message on Saturday, February 25th.

Speaking while answering questions from the panel of judges made up of seasoned journalists from the Anambra state chapter of the NUJ , Senator Ubah took out time to throw light on his record of achievements so far at the Red Chambers. He also reassured his constituents of his commitment towards human capital development and facilitation of quality programmes and projects for his Senatorial District in the 10th assembly if  reelected.

ANN recalls that the youth Wing of the Anambra State Association of Town Unions (ASATU), a few days ago, organised a similar debate at ABS TV Awka where all the candidates of the various parties contesting for Anambra South Senatorial seat were also invited, and none of them showed up except for Senator Dr Ifeanyi Ubah.
