The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) candidate for Anambra Central Senatoral District, Mrs Helen Mbakwe says with good legislation, Nigeria can be redirected to the right path.

Mrs. Mbakwe, while addressing the members of the Nigeria Union of Journalist NUJ, Anambra chapter at the Godwin Ezeemo international press center on Thursday assured the people of Anambra central zone that if elected into office, her contribution will help to restore and return the country to its rightful place.

“I want to make a difference in this new Nigeria we all are hoping and praying for. I will attract the dividends of democracy to my zone if voted into office and I have worked out  plans that I will use to achieve it. 

‘My agenda is called ‘SAFER’ which stands for Security, Aspiration, Food, Empowerment and Representation. 

The Senatorial Candidate who spoke extensively revealed that she intends to change the narrative and make impact at the red chambers.

‘The cost of governance needs to be reduced.  We need to turn this country around for the betterment of our children. The problem we have in Nigeria is that the wrong people are the ones making laws for us. I’m a lawyer, and I read up to master’s degree in International Law. With good laws, we will be able to boost the development of the country and also redirect youth’s minds away from crime,” she said.

“I want to offer my people resolute representation. We will not continue to pass the jobs we should do to others. People who are abreast with law should be allowed to make laws. That is how we can help to develop Nigeria.”
