2024 Press Week: NUJ Anambra Council Holds Indoor Games

The 2024 Press Week of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Anambra State Council continues as members engage in several Indoor games.

members of the union on Tuesday at the Godwin Ezeemo International Press Centre in Awka, engaged themselves with games such as skipping, whot, ludo and ncho

Declaring the games open, Press Week Planning Committee Chairman, Comrade Dr. Njide Ezeonyejiaku in her remark stated that the indoor games is part of the programmes to mark this years press week.

“Press week is a week designated for journalists to celebrate themselves and socialize. It is also a period for journalists to re-access themselves so as to forge a new way forward.

” The essence of this Indoor games, is to task our brains, exercise our mind, perfect our skills, exchange knowledge and also sensitize ourselves.

” Every participant in this game is already a winner and whoever wins is winning because somebody has to win” Dr. Ezeonyejiaku said.

Sub-Committee Chairman Comrade Francis Ekpone before presenting the gifts commended the leadership of the council led by Comrade Odogwu Emeka Odogwu Phd, for his achievements and efforts in making sure that the union is still maintaining its functions as the watch dog of the society.

Winners of the indoor games are; Comrade Lawrence Nwimo (Ludo), Comrade Okechukwu Onuegbu Phd (Skipping), Comrade Ogemdi Ozoemenam (Whot) and Comrade Lawrence Nwimo (Ncho)

Both winners and other participants went home with mouth watering gifts.
