Davido’s widely anticipated Timeless concert was definitely a success.
The concert went down on Sunday, April 23, at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) and it was one for the books.
It was an unforgettable time for his fans who had yearned for some live performance and new music from their favorite who was off the radar for five months
At the concert, Davido and his team erected what could pass for the biggest stages in Africa for the musical event. The stage was a replica of the national theatre, one of Nigeria’s notable edifices
The Afrobeats superstar performed songs from his album and other songs from his extensive hits collection.
He was joined by other Nigerian artists, including Mayokun, Asake, Iyanya and Spyro, to mention a few.
The 30BG 001 was also joined by British rapper Tion Wayne who was among the remarkable performances for the night.
As usual, the concert packed a lot of beautiful and exciting moments which got fans screaming at the top of their lungs.
Davido’s uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke was also at the event but the absence of three important persons to the singer was noticeable.
Number one on the list of noticeable absentees is Chioma, Davido’s wife.
Prior to the concert, there were rumours that Chioma has moved out of Davido’s house because the singer was expecting another child from another woman.
Surprisingly, while many were hoping to see the end to the rumors by Chioma making an appearance at her husband’s concert, she failed to show up.
While it is understandable that Chioma is still getting over the loss of a child, it is important to note that she made appearances at his uncle’s inauguration ceremony in December 2022, and also showed up for him at his World Cup performance.
2. Cubana Chiefpriest: After hyping up the Timeless album on social media and making promises to shut down TBS come April 23, Davido’s bestie, Cubana Chiefpriest didn’t show up at the concert.
Instead, the celebrity barman flooded his Instastory channel with videos showing how he spent the night at a club with some other friends.
Prior to the event, Davido and Cubana unfollowed each other.
3. Eniola Badmus: The actress’ relationship with Davido had been fractured since she announced the death of Davido’s son Ifeanyi.
Some fans were hoping the two would have squashed their beef.
Eniola who, in the past, has taken trips to different parts of the world for Davido’s shows failed to show up at the Timeless concert.
The actress shared a video on Instagram which was filmed in London.
4. Wizkid: Davido had announced that there would be major surprises and unexpected appearances at his show and many had easily concluded that Wizkid will be showing up.
Days leading up to the concert, Wizkid and Davido had shown renewed solidarity for each other and doused rumors of bad blood between them.
However, Wizkid failed to show up to the concert.
