The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemil North Local Government Area, Anambra State Hon. Chuksbrown Igboañua has promised to synergize with all the traditional rulers in the council area to tackle insecurity and move the local government forward.
Ignoanua while speaking during the meeting of
ndi Igwe Idemili North held at Ogidi, the Council headquarters, reeled out his achievements such ast building of office blocks, bore holes, maintenance of roads, visit to schools to ascertain their successes and challenges among others.
The Mayor said he attended the event to familiarise with the traditionsl rulers and also chart practicable ways of moving Idemili North forward.
The Transition Committee Chairman solicited the support of ndi Igwe in tackling some of the challenges raised by them, ranging from insecurity, interventions on roads like Ugwunwasike, Eco Bank portion of Limca Road near Nkpor junction and praised the monarchs for the peaceful coexistence among them, even as he promised to make their appeals and suggestions known to Governor Chukwuma Soludo who has been putting smiles on the faces of Ndi Anambra.
On his part, the member representing Idemili North Constituency at the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Kingsley Udemezue who was part of the meeting said that he came to visit the monarchs after his inauguration to thank them for their support and promised that he will give them effective and people-oriented representation as dividends of democracy under his tenure will be evenly and fairly distributed among ten communites that make up the Constituency.
The Chairman, Idemil North Traditional Rulers Council and traditional ruler of Uke, His Royal Highness Igwe Surv. Charles Chuma Agbala, who welcomed the Chairman and Hon. Udemezu, advised that they should work together to tackle some pressing issues in the area in order to move the council forward.
In their separate speeches, the traditional ruler of Abacha, Igwe Godwin Nwabunwanne Odiegwu commended the duo for coming to see them and encouraged them to keep it up, even as his Ogidi counterpart, HRM, Igwe Alex U Onyido, praised Hon. Igboañua for his numerous developmental strides in Idemili North and expressed optimistim that Hon Udemezue being son of the soil, will represent Ndi Idemili North well and beyond expectations.
Also speaking, the traditional ruler of Obosi, Eze Obosi, HRM, Chibudom Iweka, also advised both the Chairman and Hon. Udemezue to work together regardless of party affiliations for the good of Ndi Idemili North.
