* Anambra State Government has warned against illegal land transactions at Mamu Forest, Ndiukwuenu in Orumba North Local Government Area, Anambra State. In a release signed by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Lands, Mr Edwin Ejike on behalf of the Commissioner for Lands, Mr Offornze Amucheazi said that it has come to the attention of the State Government that some unauthorized persons have continued to deceive unsuspecting members of the public to purchase Government land within the forest.
* The Anambra State Association of Town Union (ASATU) has said six Presidents-General of communities in the state were killed in cold blood recently. ASATU National President, Titus Akpudo, a lawyer, stated this at a press conference in Awka the Anambra State capital on Thursday.
* The Special Assistant to Governor Chukwuma Soludo on Media, Mr Nnanna Nzewi, says the present harsh economic condition in Nigeria calls for people to render helping hands to others. Mr Nzewi stated this at the installation of the seventeenth President of Rotaract Club of Awka GRA which also featured award presentations to selected individuals.
* Members of the Soludo Fan Club, a solidarity group of like-minded personalities, have passed vote of confidence on the Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo, and also restated their solidarity with him and their support to his government. The members passed the vote of confidence on during their periodic meeting, which was held in Awka, the Anambra State capital, with participants drawn from different local government areas of the State.
* Anambra State House of Assembly has called on Governor Chukwuma Soludo to direct the Commissioner for Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and other relevant agencies to ensure that security of lives and properties are usually considered before approving sites for installation of LPG (Cooking Gas) stations that are presently being indiscriminately installed across the state and review existing once sighted at residential areas.
* Visually impaired persons and other persons with disabilities in Anambra State have begged the state governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, for palliatives following the removal of petrol subsidy. Describing their conditions as precarious at a time like this, the group enjoined the state government to make exclusive plans for them in the circumstances.
* The Anambra State Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Sir Ifeatu Obi-Okoye has reiterated the commitment of the State APGA Exco under his leadership, to reposition the party for greater political exploits, in line with the New Solution mandate of Governor Chukwuma Soludo. Obi-Okoye made the statement during Onitsha North APGA Leadership Retreat
* The leadership of the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD) Anambra State Chapter has appealed to Governor Chukwuma Soludo-led Anambra State Government to remember Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) in its proposed subsidy palliative scheme in the state.
* Anambra Shuttle Bus Drivers Forum (ASBDF) and Anambra Keke Riders Forum(AKDF) may soon withdraw services to the public to protest government heavy taxation. The groups said that the state government configured its account app to five weeks a month instead of four weeks and that they are forced to pay for five weeks in a month.
* Ozonna, the son of the Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has reacted to critics about his music. He said he did not require approval or advice regarding his artistic choices. Ozonna, a singer who studied at the Institute of Contemporary Music in London, emphasized that as an artist, his purpose was to offer a unique perspective.
* The Member representing Awka South Constituency One in the Anambra State House of Assembly Mr Henry Mbachu, says he will install free Wi-fi in all the village squares and public schools in Awka.
Mr Mbachu stated this at the 2023 Youth Week Climax and Maiden Edition of De-light Magazine of the Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria, CYON, Saint Peters’ Catholic Church Nkwelle, Awka.

* The Anambra State Commissioner for Public Utility and Water Resources, Engineer Juluis Chukwuemeka says that Governor Chukwuma Soludi’s administration has installed about seventy thousand solar powered street lights across the state. Engineer Chukwuemeka disclosed this during the Anambra East Local Government Area All Progressives Grand Alliance stakeholders meeting held in Otuocha.
According to the Commissioner, APGA Anambra East, has been coming first in every election in the state for over seventeen years now.
