Happy Chhoti Diwali 2023: Why It’s Celebrated Before Diwali?

Choti Diwali 2023: Choti Diwali, also known as Naraka Chaturdashi, is celebrated on the fourteenth day of the dark fortnight (Krishna Paksha) in the Hindu month of Kartik. It is celebrated one day after Dhanteras.

The name “Naraka Chaturdashi” refers to the demon king Narakasura, the king of demons, and the fourteenth day (Chaturdashi). On this day, Hindus celebrate the victory of good over evil, as Lord Krishna defeated Narakasura.

Choti Diwali is an auspicious occasion for Hindus and is celebrated with great fervor and enthusiasm. People light diyas, decorate their homes, and worship Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity.
