* Sen. Tony Nwoye on Sunday had a Thanksgiving mass at Basilica of Holy Trinity Onitsha after which empowerment program commenced at the all saints Cathedral. The event had Mr. Peter Obi and Governor Alex Otti as the special guest of honours while HRM Igwe  Nnemeka Achebe was the royal father of the day

* Akwuukwu Community in Idemili South Local Government Area, Anambra State has elected new town union executives. Angel Network News reports that the election which took place at St John Catholic Church, Akwuukwu field, had a massive turn out. The newly elected executives include, President General, Mr. Udoka Ejiakor who polled 177 Votes to be declared winner. Others are Vice President: Chief Ifemeka Nwoji, Secretary: Uzochukwu Onwuanuba, Assistant Secretary: Uche Anielunwa, Treasurer: Basil Ezenwa, Financial Secretary: Chibueze Uboh, PRO 1/Publicity Secretary: Jude Anierobi, PRO 2: Osita Onuigwe and Mr Okwudili Igbobueme who was appointed as Home Affairs by the PG.

* The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa has commissioned a road constructed by the President General of Alor Town Union, Chief Emma Ojukwu. Angel Network News reports that during the commissioning ceremony, Ezeokenwa, accompanied by the member representing Idemili South constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Honorable Ebuka Igwe, and his entourage, expressed his commendation for Chief Ojukwu, acknowledging his dedication and commitment to the progress and prosperity of Alor. 

* Lovebite tournament at Nnobi in Idemili south, Anambra State has come to an end with Nnobi football team carting home the trophy after defeating Oba 3-1. Idemili South Council Boss, Hon. Amaka Obi while commending Chief Okwy Umenze described football as a tool that promotes peace among the people. She stated that the sport has contributed to uniting warring communities and it promote peace and unity among the people of the area.

* The Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Dr Ifeanyi Ubah has bag the title of ‘Dike Eji Eje Ogu’ Aguluezechukwu in Aguata Local Government Area. The monarch of Aguluezechukwu, Igwe Eberendu (Igwe Nnanyelugo 1) ay his Ofalla activities to mark the 47 years reign on the throne by the monarch, conferred the title to Ubah

* The Oyi Local Government Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Hon. Harold Umunna Maduka joined member representing Oyi and Ayamelum in Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Mrs Maureen Gwacham as she paid condolence visit to Obigwe’s family in Nkwelle-Awkuzu over the death of their father, late Chief Augustine Obigwe. Hon. Maduka during the condolence visit, described the death of Pa Augustine Obigwe as irreparable and prayed to God to give the family he left behind the fortitude to bear the huge loss.

* HRM Igwe L.O Ezenwa of Umuomaku Ancient Kingdom in Orumba South L.G.A has celebrated his 1st Ofala. Amidst the Ofala celebration was the honouring of many illustrious sons of Anambra and Nigeria at large with various Chieftaincy titles. Amongst those honoured were the member representing Orumba South constituency Hon. Emma Nwafor

* Against the backdrop of the challenges of insecurity across the country, especially the South-East geopolitical zone and the fate of its economy, the immediate past member of the National Assembly Hon. Chinedu Obidigwe speaks on the way forward. Hon. Obidigwe who represented Anambra East/West federal consistency at the green chabers while speaking in an interview recently called for more synergy between South-East governors and Ohaneze Ndigbo for the future of the land.

* Umuada Obizi, a sociocultural group mobilized by the Crown Prince of Obizi, Prince Ugo-Martins Ekweozor has successfully launched their Cultural Dance troupe in a concerted effort to foster unity. The group, under the leadership of 

lady Georgina Igwebuike showcased its prowess in traditional dance and cultural celebration.

* Prof. Oby Lilian Orogbu, the House of Representatives Member for Awka North and South, joined other well-wishers to condole with the family of Nebe, over the death of  Mrs. Adaeze Nebe, at Umuogbu village, Awka. Orogbu in a condolence message, expressed her gratitude to God Almighty for the life of late Mrs. Adaeze Nebe, who she said stood for peace, justice and equity for all during her lifetime. 

* Ngene Village has emerged Champions of the Ugboogiliga Challenge Cup. To achieve this feat they saw off Umueze Village 5-4 on penalty shootouts after ninety minutes of regulation time ended goal less in the grand finale of the competition played at the the Central Primary School (Aguoba) field Amawbia. The annual Amawbia Town Unity Cup competition which was re-christened Ugboogiliga Challenge Cup is being bankrolled by the Deputy Speaker and member representing Awka South Constituency two at the Anambra State House of Assembly  Rt. Hon. Chief Chukwuma Okoye
