The newly posted Anambra State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Olatunde Maku has paid a working visit to the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu in his office.
Maku while speaking during the visit said he was in SSG Office to familiarize himself, and appreciate the State Government for the support so far, and in the same vein solicit for more provision of operational assistance to the command in ensuring the safety and security of the good people of Anambra.
The Anambra State Commandant expressed his gratitude for the warm reception accorded him since his arrival to the state as the 17th substantive State Commandant of NSCDC.
He promised commitment to duty with his knowledge of the terrain and workings of the state having served before now as Second in command in the Operations Department.
Responding , Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, welcomed the new State Commandant to the State and expressed optimism that with the support of the State Government and the good people of the State his tenure would be a success.
The SSG thanked the NSCDC for their relentless efforts in contributing greatly to the peace and security of the State despite the challenges in line of duty.
Chukwulobelu charged the State Commandant to work closely with the Security Trust Fund office, other security agencies as well as stakeholders for the overall interest of the State.
He assured the newly posted Commandant of State government’s necessary support to ease the operations of NSCDC in the State in providing a watertight security and ensure a peaceful Anambra State.
