The Anambra State House of Assembly has called on the Governor Chukwuma Soludo to encourage those taking various social and community responsibilities through incentives, so that they would do more for their communities and state
Majority Leader Hon. Ikenna Ofodeme who sponsor the motion stated that the government of Anambra State under the leadership of Professor Soludo is interested in Public Private and Community Partnership (PPCP), as a viable model for state-wide development;
Hon. Ofodeme who is the member representing Ekwusigo constituency said ndi Anambra all over the world are eager to key into the ‘Aku luo uno’ mantra and partner with government in providing solutions to their communities and beyond.

“Development anywhere is a product of joint efforts between the government and individuals and sustaining partnership with individuals, as well as sustaining the growing drive among ndi Anambra in different parts of the world to contribute to the growth and development of our state, requires motivation.
” The government of Anambra State is willing to increase the rising community consciousness so that more ndi Anambra will participate in building a better, safe and prosperous State.
” Stakeholders and philanthropist need to be motivated to support the vision of Mr. Governor.
“We need PPCP to actualize the 2024 budget and their are soo many ways most of our stakeholders will be motivated to join by investing and developing Anambra state.
” Street naming should be on merit and should be named after those who have impacted and invested in Anambra state.
” Governor Chukwuma Soludo has been making himself available through commissioning the projects himself which is a motivation and recognizing them through state award will encourage them more”. Ofodeme submitted.
Speaking in support of the motion Hon. Anayo Okpalaeke (Aguata one), Hon. Augustine Ike (Nnewi North), Hon. Kingsley Udemezue (Idemili North), Hon. Golden Iloh (Ihiala two), Hon. Ejike Okechukwu (Anaocha two) and Deputy Majority Leader Hon. Jude Akpua (Njikoka two) called for
incentives to all those supporting the government.
” This government has declared a state of emergency on roads, erosion and alot of ndi Anambra are ready and willing to partner with this administration.
” This is a re-inforcement method and those coming to partner with government will be gingered because incentives goes along way in building team work, increase productivity and confidence”.
Anambra assembly Speaker Rt. Hon. Somto Udeze commended the Majority Leader, Hon. Ofodeme the sponsor of the motion stating that God who sees and knows the intentions of good spirited citizens that are assisting to develop the state is awading and recognizing them.
“The 8th assembly at the appropriate time will encourage the governor to recognize this great men through Anambra merit award’.
