The meeting of APGA faithÂful of Ihiala extraction held on Sunday in Awka showed that Ihiala Local Government Area is prepared to deliver maximum votes to the APGA candidate, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, come November 6 2021.
The meeting, which featured a wide range of discussions and strategies, had all the ward chairmen, stakeholders and local govÂernment party executives in attendance.
At the meeting, the camÂpaign chairman Ihiala Local Government Area for APGA November 6 Governorship Election for Soludo and the lawmaker representing IhiaÂla 2 state constituency in the state legislature, Dr. Paschal Agbodike, said the party members, party stakeholdÂers and government appoinÂtees from Ihiala assembled to brainstorm on how best to elect Soludo to succeed GovÂernor Willie Obiano.
Agbodike said many peoÂple were desperate to succeed Obiano but said Ndi-AnamÂbra have made it clear whom their choice is in the person of Soludo.
He said Ihiala has keyed in to deliver the APGA govÂernorship candidate and no other person, adding that the meeting was convened to enable them restrategise and call for peace so that Ndi-Anambra would elect a good man to pilot the affairs of the state.
According to him, the November 6 governorship election should be a peaceful transition from APGA govÂernment to another APGA government devoid of conÂfusion and rancour as he believed that Ndi-Anambra were waiting for the day Soludo would be sworn-in as the next governor of the state.
Agbodike, who also douÂbles as the Deputy Speaker of the state legislature, notÂed that the governorship election must be conducted while calling on the Federal Government to listen to the yearnings of the Igbo and apÂpealed to every Onye-AnamÂbra to be a peacemaker and not a troublemaker.
