The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze has said that two former Governors of the State, Chief Willie Obiano and Dr.Chris Ngige have made impressive marks in the development of the State during their tenures.
Felicitating Chief Willie Obiano as he marks his 69th birthday, in a goodwill message signed by Mr Emma Madu, Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker,
Rt. Hon. Udeze noted that in addition to achieving some signature projects like the Anambra International Airport and International Conference Centre, Governor Obiano empowered a lot of Ndi Anambra and also improved the security situation of the State.
The Speaker who maintained that former Governor Obiano ran a purposeful administration, prayed God to continue to protect him and give him long life and good health.

In the same vein, Rt. Hon. Udeze has described former Governor Chris Ngige as an accomplished medical doctor, renowned public administrator and selfless politician whose tenure recorded an unprecedented development in road infrastructure, health care delivery, security as well as general welfare of the people among others.
The Speaker while positing that former Governor Ngige did Anambra State proud as Minister of Labour and Productivity by not soiling his hands, wished him longevity and good health.
