The Member representing Awka North and South Federal Constituency, Prof. Oby Lilian Orogbu has visited the families of the victims of the tragic October 20th killings in Nibo.

Orogbu’s visit came on the heels of a motion of urgent public importance she moved on the floor of the House of Representatives, condemning the senseless killings and calling for urgent action to ensure the safety and security of her constituents.
During her visit, the lawmaker paid courtesy calls on HRM Eze Dr. Sir M.C Ngene, the traditional ruler of Nibo Community, and Prof. Tony Nwokoye, President General of Nibo Town Union.
She expressed her deepest condolences to the community and its leaders.
Accompanied by her constituency office staff, Prof. Orogbu then visited the families of the murdered victims, offering words of comfort and support.
She shared their grief and pledged her commitment to working tirelessly to prevent such tragedies in the future through the instrumentality of the legislature.
Addressing the leadership of Nibo Community, Prof. Orogbu reaffirmed her commitment to ensuring her constituents’ safety and security.
