The Leading Aspirant for Anambra South Senatorial bye-election under the platform of All Progressive Grand Alliance(APGA), Chief Dr. Jude Emecheta has sympathized with Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR over the tragic stampede that occurred during the sharing of Christmas packages at Okija, Ihiala local government area which claimed some lives and left many people injured.
Dr. Emecheta also extended his condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in the tragic incident. He described the incident as devastating and prayed that Almighty God comfort the deceased families. He said that the heartbreaking event had cast a shadow of grief and mourning not only in Okija but Anambra, South East and Nigeria.
Dr. Emecheta said, he cannot begin to imagine the depth of pain felt by the families of the victims, and Okija community. He extended his deepest sympathies to all the people that are grieving and share on their sorrows and stand with them during this difficult time. He also expressed his solidarity with the families of the deceased and prayed for the swift recovery of people that remained hospitalized and God’s mercy upon the dead.
