The Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs. Amaka Obi has flagged-off the construction of 400 metres of Michael Okigbo road, Ojoto in Idemili South local government, Anambra State.
Speaking during the flag-off, the Mayor commended Dr. Okigbo for embracing public private community partnership. She described rural access roads as significant, important and economically of great benefits to not just the people of the benefitting communities but the entirety of potential beneficiaries of its social and agricultural impact.
Hon. Obi stated that the road when completed would birth a drastic improvement in the livelihood of the communities where the road is passing through
Speaking, the Deputy Mayor, Hon. Ifeanyi Anakuba appealed to all to collaborate with the government for rapid development of Idemili South and Anambra State. He noted that the economic significance of the road cannot be overemphasized, adding that the benefiting communities shall not take the gesture for granted.
In his remark, the Chairman of Ojoto South Development Union, Chief Ndubueze Emejulu thanked the facilitator of the project, Dr. Okigbo on behalf of the good people of the community
Earlier on his speech, the Executive Director of Royal Akos Construction Limited, Engr. Obinna Akolonye thanked Dr. Okigbo for the opportunity given to their company to handle the project, stating that it was an indication that their expertise in handling such projects are highly recognized.
Engr. Akolonye appealed to stakeholders and residents of the benefiting communities to give them maximum co-operation in a bid to get the job delivered in good time.

the road which was attracted by Hon. Obi through Public Private Community Partnership (PPCP), links up Oba-Nnewi- St. Paul’s road, Ojoto.
