The Chairman of Anambra State Football Association (FA), General Chikelue Ilonyeosi says Super Eagles played with confidence that has been lacking for a while against Rwanda national team.

Ilonyeosi while reacting after the Super Eagles win after Rwanda stated that he expects to see a more ruthless team against Zimbabwe on Tuesday.
Ilonyeosi, the chairman of Anambra State FA poured praises on the new coach of the team Eric Chelle, for changing the mentality of the players, as they exhibited strong passion and determination against Rwanda, which ensured that Nigeria won 2-0 away two years after Nigeria’s last away win.
“I can boldly tell you that the confidence of Super Eagles is back again. You can see that Nigerians are happy, that is how it supposed to be.
“I must commend Eric Chelle for creating a team that played with so much confidence and strenghten of character in defeating Rwanda. I think the team will get better against Zimbabwe’. Ilonyeosi
said.
Speaking on the upcoming Tuesday game the Anambra FA boss maintained that Super Eagles players should not see Zimbabweaan players as children, the team is strong and hardly give up.
“Nigerian players must approach the game with seriousness in order to win. I see Super Eagles beating Zimbabwe on Tuesday’. the General said.
