𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿 ‘Udeze’ 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀

The Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze has empowered over five hundred members of his constituents.

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that Rt. Hon. Udeze who is the Member representing Ogbaru two Constituency,
while speaking in a town hall meeting at the Emmanuel Castle of Refuge, Atani, tagged “𝑴𝒚 𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑, 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑽𝒐𝒊𝒄𝒆: 𝑨 𝑹𝒆𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆,” maintained that the event was a significant moment of civic engagement.

Rt. Hon. Udeze, in his presentation, gave a comprehensive report of his 22 months in office, highlighting the legislative breakthroughs under his watch.

The Speaker noted that the 8th Assembly has passed a total of 42 bills, with 24 already assented to by Governor Chukwuma Soludo. Among these are key legislative wins such as the Anambra State Oil and Gas Producing Areas Development Commission (ANSOGPADEC) Law, the Anambra State Electricity Law, and the Homeland Security Law all pivotal to the socio-economic progress of oil-rich and border communities like Ogbaru.

Rt. Hon. Udeze empowered his constituents by distributing various packages, including 𝐬𝐞𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬, 𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐦 𝐢𝐧𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐬.

Furthermore, 𝟑𝟎𝟎 Ogbaru residents will be enrolled into the Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme (ASHIA)—a major step in enhancing access to quality healthcare for vulnerable citizens.

The flag-off of the healths insurance program was done by Dr. Simeon Onyemaechi, Director ASHIA, who took time to give brief insight into the benefits of the scheme.

Speaking at the event, the traditional ruler of Atani, Igwe Azuka Ngoddy, and the Chairman of Ogbaru LGA, Hon. Kenneth Akwuobi, commended the Speaker’s uncommon dedication to the welfare and development of the constituency. They urged Ndi Ogbaru to remain united and continue supporting Rt. Hon. Udeze’s people-oriented leadership.

Ogbaru two constituents were given the opportunity to ask questions, raise long-standing concerns, and receive honest, transparent answers from their representative—an act that deepened the trust between the legislator and the people.
