The Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor has dedicated St Joseph Catholic Church, Umuawulu built by the members of the community.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that Bishop Ezeokafor also opened the Parish Hall of the parish.
The Prelate explained that it was a day of joy not only for the Church dedication but also for the fact that it was done during Easter period which he described as the greatest feast in Christendom.
Ezeokafor stated that anyone who wants to have a relationship with God must go to church. He reminded Christians that their bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit which must be only for the worship of God.
The Parish Priest of St Joseph Catholic Church, Rev. Fr Benjamin Odika in a vote of thanks appreciated Bishop Ezeokafor
and all that contributed in cash, kind and by presence to make the event a memorable day.
The people of Umuawulu in their remarks,
commended Bishop Ezeokafor for showing them true love, by sending Rev Fr Odika to their parish, whom they said brought outstanding human and Infrastructural transformation to the Catholic community.
