…Commends choice of Sen. Ekwunife as Deputy Governorship Candidate
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in a move to strengthen the party’s structure and operations, have held a strategic post-primary meeting in Dunukofia Local Government Area, Anambra State.
In his opening remark, the Chairman, Comrade Dandove Nwankwo outlined several strategic initiatives aimed at consolidating the party’s position in Dunukofia.

the well-attended gathering brought together key party officials including State executive members, Zonal, Local Government and ward executives from across the LGA ably hosted by the Anambra Central Woman Leader, Lady Uju Onyeanisi.
The chairman announced plans for an upcoming ward tour which will focus on verification of local government executives, ward officials and party members. The tour will be complemented by a new membership recruitment drive targeting all 14 wards in Dunukofia.
While commending the choice of the experienced Sen. Uche Ekwunife, PhD as Deputy Gubernatorial Candidate to Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, Nwankwo described the joint ticket as the perfect match to unseat the incumbent governor.
“We have successfully concluded a comprehensive reconciliation move following the primaries to ensure party unity to begin a progressive movement ahead of the gubernatorial election.
“This meeting marks the beginning of a new chapter for APC in Dunukofia. Under my leadership, we will work tirelessly to strengthen our grassroots presence and position our party for victory in the forthcoming governorship election for our candidate”. Nwankwo stated.
Addressing party faithful, the Anambra Central Woman Leader, Hon. Mrs Uju Onyeanisi stated that the just concluded reconciliation exercise in Dunukofia yielded expected result adding that the new vigor and cohesion will ensure the victory of Prince Dr Nicholas Ukachukwu at the polls.
”Go to your various polling units and start grassroot sensitization, mobilize eligible voters, woo them to vote for our party and fight for victory on November 8, 2025 ” Onyeanisi urged members.
In their separate speeches, the State Assistant Secretary, Hon. Sam Oraegbunam and the Anambra Central Zonal Chairman, Hon. Augustine Moumaife commended members for their unwavering support to the party, urging them to continue demonstrating resilience, capacity and mobilize more voters ahead of the victory of the candidate and reap the dividends and benefits of winning elections.
In his remark, State Assistant Legal Adviser, Barr C.C Udenwa charged APC members to return to their polling units and start mobilizing eligible voters to ensure victory for the party’s flagbearer.
Major highlight of the meeting was the emphasis on community engagement.
The party resolved to foster relationships with local stakeholders including businesses, community leaders and civic organizations to effectively promote the party’s agenda and candidate.
Present in the meeting were; Hon Vin Oyiliagu, Chief Udobi Samuel, Chief Emeka Oragwuncha, local government executives and five principal ward officers.
The meeting was coloured by the performances of Adaugo Ladies Initiative.
