Nri Community in Anaocha Council Area, trooped out en-mass to officially welcome the Deputy Governor aspirant of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Senator Uche Ekwunife.
In her speech Ekwunife, overwhelmed by the honour said it is not her race alone but that of entire Nri even as she stated that political party does not develop anywhere rather personality.
The deputy governorship candidate while highlighting her achievements,
revealed that through her anticidents, she was graciously nominated and cannot move without letting them know of the position.
In his address, APC, governorship candidate for November 2025 Anambra election, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu while commending the endorsement, said whatever one do in life speaks for him or her.
Ukachukwu described Ekwunife as a
wonderful and the best candidate to work with telling ndi Nri that more are yet to come their way as they are people who have integrity and eyes for good things of life that would better the lots of everyone.
In his remark, the immediate past President General of Nri Ancient Kingdom and Chairman of the occasion, Chief Kelvin Obiegbunem, disclosed that as stakeholders in the community, they deemed it necessary to welcome Senator Ekwunife home to show her love, support and readiness to join in the race
Obiegbunem maintained that Ekwunife is over qualified and having laid down gigantic structures and unnumbered development while at the national assembly, they are optimistic that at this stage, she will perform better stating that Ndi Nri are strongly behind her.
In their separate speeches, some stakeholders including Chief Chuks Emelife, Prince Kelvin Tabansi and Lady Chinwe Nedum described Senator Ekwunife as international personality, one of a kind who has gone far above women capabilities stating that she is more than qualified for the position as she had performed excellently in her previous positions and also stood grounds in extending democracy dividends to the door steps of her people more especially mothers and children, fought insecurity and erected legacy projects for the benefit of all, saying they came out en-mass to let Ndi Anambra know that every Onye Nri is proud of Senator Ekwunife.
Ndi Otu Odu Nri Cultural Society led by their head, Iyom Chizoba Nweke and a member, Iyom Ego Obiegbunem maintained that one good turn deserves another pointing out that Senator Ekwunife’s achievements and good gestures speaks for itself saying that even when she has left the national assembly, she continued with her good work, and if given opportunity to play a role in the state, virtually all sectors in the state will have a face lift and benefit from her good heart .
