Breaking: Anambra North Formally Confers “Olu Atu Egwu” On Governor Soludo, Declares Unwavering Support For His Re-election

In a powerful display of unity and endorsement, stakeholders from across the seven local government areas of Anambra North Senatorial Zone gathered at the Otuocha Township Stadium to honor Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo and his Deputy, Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim and declare overwhelming support for his re-election bid under the banner of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

The high-profile event also featured the conferment of the traditional title “Olu Atu Egwu Nke Nbu” on Governor Soludo as a symbolic honor recognizing his bold, visionary, and transformative leadership.

Lawmakers, government officials, traditional rulers, community leaders, youth and women groups, and passionate supporters in their numbers attended the rally to appreciate Soludo’s strides in governance as a way of expressing their collective commitment towards securing his second term.

Welcoming dignitaries, Engr. Marcel Ifejiofor, Chairman of the Planning Committee and former Anambra State Commissioner for Works, alongside Chief Ugochukwu Obiefuna Committee Secretary and Deputy Chief of Staff to the Deputy Governor, reaffirmed that all 99 wards in Anambra North remain fully aligned with the Solution Agenda and stand firmly behind Governor Soludo.

In a series of stirring endorsements, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Nkem Udeze, Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly; Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, APGA National Chairman; and Hon. Chinedu Obidigwe, former Federal House Member, lauded Soludo’s leadership, and while citing remarkable progress in infrastructure, education, healthcare, youth empowerment, and security, described his administration as a new benchmark for governance in Anambra and went further to pledged their full support for his re-election.

Notable Leaders, including Hon Innocent Ojike – Ojicam, member representing Oyi Constituency; the Mayor of Oyi LGA, Hon Emma Nweke; and Hon. Tony Nwora Nweze, Mayor of Onitsha North, unanimously echoed the widespread commitment to the Solution movement and pledged maximum grassroots mobilization to ensure a landslide re-election victory for the Governor.

In his address to the energized crowd, Governor Soludo expressed heartfelt appreciation for the honor and the title “Olu Atu Egwu,” which he described as both humbling and a renewed call to serve.

“As we march toward the future, let us do so with one voice, one heart, and one vision—for a greater Anambra that works for all,” he said.

The Governor emphasized the importance of unity, continuity, and adherence to APGA’s zoning principle as the foundation for lasting political stability and inclusive governance and also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to building a livable, prosperous, and smart mega homeland.

Among the dignitaries in attendance were Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, Chief of Staff to the Governor; Chief Chinedu Nwoye (Glamour), Chief Protocol Officer and Deputy Chief of Staff/SSG Convener; Barr. Theodora Igwegbe (Mini), Anambra State Head of Service; Engr. Julius Chukwuemeka, Commissioner for Power and Water Resources; Barr. Antony Ifeanya, Commissioner for Petroleum; and Igwe Sir Benneth Izuchukwu Emeka, traditional ruler of Umueri and Oyi Local Government APGA Chairman, Harold Umunna Maduka all praised the strong support from Anambra North and pledged continued loyalty to the Solution Agenda.
