Anambra CP Hosts Public Complaints Commission, Calls For More Engagement

Anambra Commissioner of Police, CP. Ikioye Orutugu, has hosted officers of the Public Complaints Commission (PCC) at the Command Headquarters, Awka.

During the interactive session, CP. Orutugu in his address, emphasized the importance of synergy between law enforcement agencies and oversight bodies like the Public Complaints Commission in building public confidence and improving service delivery.

Orutugu noted that the Police under his watch will remain open to accountability and committed to upholding professionalism in all dealings with members of the public.

The CP further assured the Commission and ndi Anambra of the Command’s continued commitment to building inclusive and responsive policing structures that foster mutual trust, justice, and community safety.

Commissioner Emmanuel Muoka who led the delegation of the very senior officers of the Public Complaints Commission, in his remark, expressed readiness to work closely with the Command to address complaints promptly and fairly, in line with their Mandate to act as a voice for the voiceless and ensure that justice is not only done but seen to be done.

The visit is part of a broader initiative to deepen institutional collaboration, promote transparency, and ensure the protection of citizens’ rights through effective complaint redress mechanisms.
