The Anambra State Police Command in its sustained fight against cultism, drug peddling and unlawful possession of firearms through the Operatives attached to the Special Anti-Cult Squad (SPACS) Enugwu Ukwu, arrested one Ebuka Ubadigbo 35 years old at Nkpor-Umuoji Road, close to a building site in Idemili North LGA.
Angel Network News (ANN) gathered that
the Operatives also recovered two pump-action guns with two live cartridges and large quantities of substances suspected to be hard drugs.
Confirming the arrest, Anambra Police Spokesperson, SP. Tochukwu Ikenga stated that preliminary interrogation revealed that the suspect confessed to involvement in drug peddling and Investigations are ongoing to identify his accomplices and trace the source of the recovered firearms.
The suspect will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations. Ikenga maintained.
