# The Anambra State Football Association Chairman, Chief Chikelue Iloenyosi, has expressed gratitude to Akubudike Energy and Foundation for their recent partnership. # Police Operatives attached to the Rapid Response Squad Awkuzu, arrested four male suspects and recovered 2 (Two) Pump Action Guns and Nine 9 (Nine) Live Cartridges in Amansea, Awka.
This was based on credible intelligence on a Case of kidnapping where a ransom of N5,000,000 (Five Million Naira) only was paid before the victims were released.
Anambra Police Spokesperson, SP. Tochukwu Ikenga in a press release stated that the Case was earlier transferred to the unit from B Division Awka on 14th August 2025.
The arrested suspects are: Chigozie Igboekwu ‘M’ aged 31 years, Odumegwu Chibuike ‘M’ aged 23 years, Jonah Awudu ‘M’ aged 40 years, and Okechukwu Nwari ‘M’ aged 33 years.
“The Case shall be charged to the Court on the conclusion. Meanwhile, operations are still ongoing to arrest other gang/syndicate members’. Ikenga stated.
# Peace FC of Awka defeated Ogbaru FC 2-1 in the opening match of the maiden edition of the 2025 ANSFA Anambra State Football League sponsored by Chief Jim Martin Nwabueze, MD/CEO of Akubudike Energy Ltd.
