Anaocha Mayor Says Improving Primary Healthcare Delivery Is Paramount To Soludo

The Chairman of Anaocha Local Government Area, Comrade Rome Ibekwe has recounted the various achievements recorded by his administration in the area of meeting health coverage to include enrollment of 2000 persons into the Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme, revamping of old ambulances, and renovation of some health centres.

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that the Mayor while speaking during the distribution of ₦10m worth of hospital equipment to re-equip primary health centers in the council area, said the medical equipment will go a long way in curbing unnecessary deaths witnessed in rural areas

The local government boss maintained that this milestone will go on to extend the success of the free antenatal and delivery being provided by the Soludo administration.

Equipment donated include mattresses, Muac tape, suction machine, drip stand, BP, sugar and cholesterol testing instruments, anti-shock garments, drip stands, delivery bed, adult and child weighing scales among many others.

Expressing their joy to the governor, the President General of Adazi-Nnukwu, Engr Cyril Anaetoh stated that with the intervention of the state government through the provision of medical equipment and drugs, all health centers are now standard as grass roots health providers.

In their separate speeches , the Acting Director of Health, Anaocha Local Government Area, Mrs Lucia Udala and Supervisor of Health , Honourable Kene Ezejelue commended Comrade Ibekwe for his dedication in touching lives of Ndi Anaocha and assured of judicious use of those equipments.

The distribution which was the first phase of the program in Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s drive to give a facelift to all primary heath centers in the state.

The flag-off of the distribution exercise attracted Presidents General, Women Leaders and other stakeholders from different communities in Anaocha Local Government Area who came to take possession of their equipment.
