The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has publicly denied any plan to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) as speculated in reports involving its leader, Rabiu Kwankwaso.
Issuing a statement Monday, NNPP declared that “any aspirant or individual’s views interpreted as representing party agreement are misinformed,” stressing that Kwankwaso has not authorized any negotiations with the APC.
The party also called recent media stories “rumours lacking factual basis,” saying such claims risk misleading its supporters and undermining its political autonomy ahead of the 2027 elections.
