The Managing Director of the Anambra State Civic and Social Reformation Office (ANCISRO), Sir Chuka Nnabuife, received a delegation from the African Centre for Leadership, Strategy and Development (Center LSD) on a courtesy visit to his office in Awka.
Sir Nnabuife commended the initiative, expressing ANCISRO’s readiness to collaborate with credible civil society groups to promote responsible citizenship, transparency, and people-driven governance in Anambra.
The MD noted that civic education remains one of the core pillars of ANCISRO’s mandate under Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo’s administration, adding that such partnerships will greatly enhance the ongoing reformation of public mindset toward civic responsibility.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that the vising team led by the Director of Strategy, Itia Otabor, came to explore areas of partnership with ANCISRO in advancing voter education and civic enlightenment across communities in the state.
According to Otabor, their goal is to jointly curb voter apathy and foster an environment where citizens take active part in the electoral process.
During the interaction, both organizations emphasized the need for continuous grassroots mobilization, community sensitization, and strategic stakeholder engagement as key drivers of sustainable democracy.
As the November 8th Anambra Governorship Election draws near, the meeting marks a significant step toward strengthening voter awareness campaigns ahead of the 2025 Anambra Governorship Election and sets the tone for a broader collaboration between government institutions and development-focused NGOs in promoting democratic values.
