The President General (PG) of Urum Development Union in Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Sir Felix Oranye has appealed to Governor Chukwuma Soludo to urgently intervene on the dilapidated major road linking Urum with Isuaniocha, Mgbakwu, Amanuke, Ugbene, Awba-Ofemmili and Ugbenu
The Urum President General emphasized that the road is the major access route used by residents and neighbouring communities to reach the popular Oye-Urum Market, which is now experiencing low patronage due to the poor condition of the road, noting that reconstructing the road would greatly assist farmers in evacuating their farm produce to other parts of the state, thereby helping to reduce food scarcity.
Sir. Oranye praised the Governor for various community projects completed in Awka North and beyond, including the Okpuno–Isuaniocha–Urum–Achalla Road.
The PG while congratulating Soludo on his reelection, in the just-concluded Anambra governorship election held on 8 November 2025, describing it as a true reflection of the will of Ndi Anambra and an outcome that will enable the Governor to consolidate his achievements in the state.
The Community leader expressed delight over Governor Soludo’s victory and commended the people of the state for their resolve to return him to office to continue the good work already ongoing across Anambra, and urged the Governor to reciprocate the confidence reposed in him by remaining focused and committed to selfless service to the people.
Angel Network News (ANN) gathered that the Community road was earlier commissioned by the present administration of Governor Soludo.
