Valencia Secure Umar Sadiq on Permanent Deal from Real Sociedad

Nigeria international Umar Sadiq has completed a permanent transfer to Valencia from Real Sociedad, with the La Liga club confirming the striker’s return in a deal worth €4 million, plus €1 million in performance-related add-ons.

Valencia said the agreement ties the Super Eagles forward to the club until 2028, ending weeks of speculation over his future following a previous loan spell. “Umar Sadiq is now a Valencia CF player on a permanent basis,” the club announced, confirming the length and terms of the contract.

The 28-year-old, who previously impressed during a temporary spell at Valencia in 2025, signed a contract running through June 2028, according to transfer details confirmed by club sources.

Sadiq, a key member of Nigeria’s Super Eagles squad, underwent a medical examination to finalize the move, which aims to bolster Valencia’s attacking options amid their push in La Liga.

Valencia announced the agreement as a strategic acquisition, with the player expected to integrate swiftly given his familiarity with the team and league.
