The Founder of Akpoazaa Foundation, Dr. Frank Igbojindu, has announced the renewal of Five Hundred Thousand Naira
( ₦500,000) endowment fund for the ‘Best Graduating Students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK).
Dr. Igbojindu who is also the Group Managing Director of Akpoazaa Group, made the announcement during a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Bond Stanley Anyaehie, at the institution’s Awka campus.
In his speech, Dr. Igbojindu explained that the endowment, which was launched in 2025, was created to reward and encourage outstanding academic performance among graduating students and has now been institutionalised as a yearly intervention to promote merit, discipline, and excellence.
Angel Network News (ANN) gathered that
under the scheme, the total sum of ₦500,000 is awarded across three categories: ₦250,000 for the Overall Best Graduating Student of the University, ₦150,000 for the Best Graduating Student in the Faculty of Management Sciences, and ₦100,000 for the Best Graduating Student in the Department of Accountancy.
In addition to renewing the endowment, Dr. Igbojindu also donated a 500-capacity event tent to support logistics and activities for the University’s forthcoming convocation ceremony.
Speaking on the initiative, Dr. Igbojindu described it as his modest way of giving back to the institution that shaped his academic journey, noting that he obtained his Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, and Doctorate Degree in Accountancy from the University.
The Managing Director reaffirmed his commitment to supporting education and human capital development, stressing that sustained encouragement of academic excellence remains critical to national development.

Responding, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Anyaehie, expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as a commendable example of alumni support and private-sector partnership in advancing the University’s academic ideals.
