The president of Galatasaray has praised Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen as one of the most thrilling players in the team’s history, likening his influence to that of legendary figure Metin Oktay.
Dursun Ozbek highlighted Osimhen’s exceptional qualities in an interview, noting the 27-year-old’s dedication even during practice sessions.da050e
“Among centre-forwards who have come to Galatasaray throughout history, Victor Osimhen is the player who excites me the most after Metin Oktay. Extraordinary,” Ozbek said.
He added: “We follow Osimhen with admiration even when watching him in training. He performs there as if he’s in match tempo. We’re afraid he’ll get injured.”
Osimhen arrived at Galatasaray on loan from Italian side Napoli last summer, with the deal reportedly carrying a €75 million option to buy.
He contributed to the club’s domestic double in the 2024/25 season and has tallied 17 goals and six assists this term across all competitions.
