The lawmaker representing Idemili South constituency, Barrister Ebuka Igwe has formally declared his intention recontest for second term.
The declaration was made during a meeting with stakeholders and party executives held at his country home in Alor.
The gathering brought together party leaders and key political figures across Idemili South LGA, marking the official presentation of his second-term ambition at the grassroots level.
In his address, Hon. Igwe expressed deep appreciation to APGA stakeholders for their commitment in strengthening the party structure across Idemili South. He also commended the achievements of Governor Chukwuma Soludo for the numerous developmental projects ongoing across the state.
Hon. Igwe stated that he has been following the developmental footsteps of the governor, noting that several projects have been initiated across communities in Idemili South, with some already completed while others are still ongoing.
The lawmaker assured that if given the opportunity to serve a second term, he would consolidate on his achievements and deliver even more dividends of democracy to the people.
Barr. Igwe further emphasized that power ultimately comes from God and urged that the contest should not be seen as a do-or-die affair. While expressing confidence in his capacity to continue delivering quality representation, he appealed for the total support of party members and the people of Idemili South.
Speaking during the event, the Idemili South APGA Chairman, Hon. Kizito Anoliefo, charged party members and supporters across Idemili to rally behind Igwe and support his second-term ambition.
Also speaking, the Speaker of the Idemili Congress of Councillors, Rt. Hon. Ernest Ezeunyim, appreciated APGA faithfuls and commended Hon. Igwe for his performance during his first term, citing the popular slogan: “Ochiri mma ga achi ọzọ.”
Also speaking, the Chairman of the Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB), Dr. Vera Nwadinobi, also praised Hon. Igwe’s leadership style, clear vision, and progressive transformation agenda, noting that his representation has produced tangible results.
Nwadinobi encouraged stakeholders to rally strongly behind his aspiration, expressing confidence in a resounding victory at the polls.
Similarly, Idemili South APGA Youth Leader, Hon. Austin Ejibendu, expressed confidence that Hon. Igwe’s second-term bid would further benefit the people of Idemili South. He prayed for God’s guidance and a successful outcome in the forthcoming election.
