… Insists on Strict Compliance with Contract Specifications
The local government Chairman of Orumba South, Hon Shedrack Azubuike, on Friday, inspected the ongoing construction of the St. Augustine–Rest Assured–Community High School road along the Umuchu Bypass in Umunze.
Speaking during the inspection, the Mayor
reaffirming the local government’s commitment to ensuring quality delivery of the project.
Hon. Azubuike while interacting with engineers from the state Ministry of Works and representatives of the construction company handling the project, emphasized that the road must be executed strictly in line with the Bill of Engineering Measurement and Evaluation (BEME) and the terms contained in the contract agreement, stressing that no compromise would be tolerated on quality or standards.
According to the local government bose, the engineers assured him that the construction would meet all required specifications and would be completed within the stipulated timeframe. He noted that the assurances from both the ministry officials and the contractors demonstrated their commitment to delivering a durable road that would serve the people effectively.
Hon. Azubuike also expressed appreciation to Governor Chukwuma Soludo for initiating the project, describing it as a significant step toward improving infrastructure and development in Umunze and the wider Orumba South area.

He commended the governor for ensuring that the communities in the region are not left out in the state’s development agenda.
