Tinubu Vows to Finish Term, Says Insecurity Will Not ‘Force Me Out’

President Bola Tinubu has declared that he will not be intimidated or forced out of office by the country’s security challenges, insisting that his administration remains resilient in the face of mounting pressure.

Speaking in a video address released to the public, the president responded to critics and agitators who have questioned the stability of his government amid persistent banditry and economic hardship. Tinubu emphasized that his mandate was given by the people and would be completed according to the constitution.

”I will not be forced out. This presidency was not a gift; it was a mandate through the ballot box,” Tinubu stated firmly. “Those who think they can use insecurity to truncate this administration are making a grave mistake.”

The president’s remarks come at a time of heightened political tension, with some opposition figures and civil society groups criticizing the pace of security reforms. Tinubu argued that while the challenges are significant, they are being addressed through strategic military investments and regional cooperation.

”Insecurity will not end this presidency. We are bigger than the bandits, and we are stronger than the terrorists,” he added. “We have the will to fight, and we have the plan to win. Our focus remains on the ‘Renewed Hope’ agenda.”

The commander-in-chief also urged Nigerians to remain patient and patriotic, warning that internal division only serves to embolden criminal elements. He dismissed rumors of a “political collapse,” describing such talk as the work of those who do not wish the nation well.

”We are working day and night to ensure every Nigerian can sleep with their eyes closed,” the president remarked. “Progress may seem slow to some, but it is steady. We are reclaiming our forests and securing our highways.”
