Galatasaray S.K. have been crowned Turkish Süper Lig champions for a record-extending 26th time after a thrilling 4-2 victory over Antalyaspor sealed the title on Saturday.
The Istanbul giants secured their fourth consecutive league crown with one match still left in the season, further cementing their dominance in Turkish football.
Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen played a decisive role in the triumph, scoring twice in the second half as Galatasaray pulled away after a tense contest at RAMS Park.
The visitors twice threatened to spoil the celebrations, but goals from Mario Lemina and Kaan Ayhan, alongside Osimhen’s brace, ensured the hosts completed a dramatic comeback victory.
The title win also saw Galatasaray equal their own historic run of four straight league triumphs achieved between 1996 and 2000 under legendary coach Fatih Terim.
