Nollywood actress Beverly Osu has revealed she seriously considered becoming a reverend sister before pursuing a career in entertainment.
The actress made the disclosure during an appearance on the Creativtea Podcast, attributing her early aspiration to her Catholic upbringing and admiration for the disciplined lifestyle of religious figures.
“I was meant to be a Reverend Sister. I wanted to really be a Reverend Sister. Now, I am doing God’s work in other ways,” Osu said.
She added that her interest went beyond faith. “I love how they dress. Because I am meticulous and very neat, I just loved how clean the priests and Reverend Sisters were. Literally, that was it,” she explained.
Osu noted the aspiration was no childhood whim but a genuine commitment she held strongly during her school years, envisioning a future in the convent.
