The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Anambra State Chapter, and the Anambra State Commissioner for Youth Development and Sports, Mr. Patrick Agha Mba, have congratulated Chikelue Iloenyosi on his re-election as Chairman of the Anambra State Football Association (AnSFA).
In a congratulatory message signed by the SWAN Chairman, Chimezie Anaso, and Secretary, Uche Ndeke, the association described Iloenyosi’s unopposed and unanimous re-election for another four-year term as a clear endorsement of his dynamic leadership and commitment to the development of football in Anambra State.
The association urged him to sustain his vision and dedication to youth development and football excellence.
“As you begin another term, we urge you to continue with your vision and commitment to youth development and football excellence. We believe your expertise and dedication will take Anambra football to greater heights in the years ahead,” the statement read.
SWAN also congratulated members of the newly elected AnSFA board, expressing optimism for stronger collaboration and more impactful initiatives that would further position Anambra as a football powerhouse.
Similarly, on behalf of the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports and the sports-loving community in the state, Commissioner Patrick Agha Mba extended his warm congratulations to Iloenyosi.
He described the victory as a testament to Iloenyosi’s visionary leadership and an affirmation of the achievements, transparency and grassroots football transformation recorded during his first tenure.
“You have truly lived up to your mark as ‘The General,’ leading the charge to revive the beautiful game across all corners of our dear state,” Agha Mba said.
He noted that under the administration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo, the ministry had enjoyed a productive partnership with the AnSFA leadership, resulting in significant progress in grassroots sports development and the creation of opportunities for young talents.
Expressing confidence in Iloenyosi’s ability to deliver even greater results, the commissioner pledged the ministry’s continued support and collaboration with the football association in advancing the state’s youth and sports development agenda.
He wished the AnSFA chairman a successful tenure marked by greater achievements, teamwork and the continued rise of Anambra football on both the national and international stages.
