The Tinubu Again Movement (TAM) has reaffirmed its target of mobilising 20 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, with its Southeast leadership pledging to deepen grassroots engagement and expand the movement’s structures across the region.
The commitment was made at the Southeast zonal meeting of TAM held at its office in Abagana, Anambra State, as the movement intensified preparations for grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.
The 20-million-vote target has previously been announced by TAM’s national leadership as a nationwide mobilisation objective for the 2027 presidential election.
Speaking at the meeting, the Southeast Zonal Coordinator, Comrade Val Anona, said the movement was motivated by what members described as the achievements of the Tinubu administration, particularly in infrastructure, economic reforms and investment.
“We are passionate about Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election because we have seen his good works and believe he deserves to complete his second tenure,” Anona said.
He described TAM as a result-oriented movement, stressing that its members were focused on grassroots mobilisation and translating their activities into measurable electoral support.
The Anambra State Coordinator, Hon. Nnaemeka Oraka, commended the zonal leadership and highlighted several policies and projects of the Federal Government, including fuel subsidy reforms, efforts to attract foreign investment, infrastructure development and the student-loan programme.
Oraka cited the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, Oba-Nnewi-Okigwe Road, Second Niger Bridge and railway development among the projects being highlighted by the movement. He said TAM would use its grassroots structures to communicate government programmes and policies to communities across the state.
The Southeast Zonal Women Coordinator, Hon. Uzor Nduka Woko, disclosed proposed empowerment packages for members and coordinators, which she said would include 5,000 vehicles and 10,000 tricycles and motorcycles, alongside cash empowerment and other business-support materials.
Woko said the proposed interventions were aimed at helping beneficiaries establish businesses and become economically productive. She also said the movement was engaging other government officials on additional empowerment support.
The Deputy State Coordinator described the mobilisation assignment as demanding but achievable, commending members who had embraced the initiative.
“It is an onerous task. But we are equal to the task,” she said.
The Coordinator of Local Government Chairmen, Sir JC Maduka, commended the organisers and emphasised the importance of taking the movement’s message to the grassroots.
Similarly, the Anambra State Youth Leader of the Arewa Movement, Alhaji Ismaila Salihu, pledged his organisation’s support for the mobilisation effort.
Also speaking, Sir Nweke Eric, Chairman of the Drivers Welfare Association and Community Movement, declared his group’s support for TAM and expressed readiness to contribute to its grassroots engagement.
TAM was established under the leadership of the Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle, as a grassroots mobilisation platform supporting President Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid. Reports on the movement indicate that its stated 20-million-vote target is intended as a nationwide objective covering the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, rather than a Southeast-only target.
