Brighton & Hove Albion inflicted a heavy 3-0 defeat on Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday, ending the champions’ 100 percent start to the season at the American Express Stadium.
Pascal Groß opened the scoring in the 31st minute, followed by Charalampos Kostoulas just before half-time in the 45th minute. Chema Andrés added a third goal in the 57th minute to complete a dominant performance by the home side.
Arsenal, who arrived as league leaders, struggled to create clear chances and looked vulnerable defensively throughout. Brighton controlled large periods of the match and restricted the visitors effectively after taking the lead.
The result marked Arsenal’s first league defeat of the 2026-27 campaign. Brighton earned a significant victory against one of the division’s strongest sides.
