Socialite and entrepreneur Cubana Chief Priest said a recent trip to China has transformed his outlook, prompting him to prioritise industrial production over luxury spending.
In a statement reflecting on the visit, he said he felt humbled by what he observed and would redirect resources previously spent on high-end cars and watches toward manufacturing.
“My trip to China has changed my view about everything. I came here and I’m humbled,” he said. “After receiving my new Rolls-Royce, no more cars and watches. It’s going to be production on production.”
Cubana Chief Priest added that funds he would have used to purchase a Ferrari would instead finance a production company in Owerri, the capital of Imo State in southeastern Nigeria.
“The money I would use to buy my Ferrari, I will use it to set up a production company in Owerri and employ not less than 1,000 people,” he declared.
The entrepreneur, known for his high-profile lifestyle and business interests in hospitality and entertainment, gave no further details on the type of production facility planned or a timeline for its establishment.
