Publisher and political commentator Dele Momodu has declared that NDC 2027 presidential candidate Peter Obi will comprehensively defeat Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo in the 2027 elections.
Speaking on Arise News’ Prime Time programme, Momodu said: “I can bet my life on it that Peter Obi will humiliate and disgrace Soludo in Anambra state. I have no question about that.”
Asked why he was so confident, Momodu replied: “Peter Obi is a rock star where he comes from, especially in the Southeast and the South-South.”
Momodu, who said he is supporting Atiku Abubakar, argued that the political dynamics have shifted. “I’m supporting Atiku, but I will be very happy. When people say, ‘oh, if you people don’t come together you are going to lose election,’ the scenario is different this time.”
He went further, claiming Obi’s strength poses a direct threat to President Bola Tinubu: “Peter Obi will humiliate Tinubu and all his supporters in the Southeast and some parts of the South-South, and that’s dangerous for Tinubu. Because Tinubu, for Tinubu to win, he needs to lock down all the three regions in the South and he now has to go and struggle in the North where number one it was supported last time by President Muhammadu Buhari.”
The comments come amid growing discussion about the 2027 presidential and governorship races in the Southeast.
