A serving member of Anambra state House of Assembly, Hon. Dr Okechukwu Okoye was kidnapped this evening, Sunday, 15th May, 2022.
Popularly called ‘Okey Di Okay’, Hon. Dr. Okoye represents Aguata II in the state house of assembly, and is from Isuofia, the hometown of Anambra state Governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo.
He is also the Chairman of the House Committee on Information. It is not known if Hon. Dr. Okoye was targeted, of if this was a random attack.
His car was found abandoned in the road.
The police is yet to make clarification on the incidence at the time of filing the report.
