ONE of the saddest days in the history of Nigeria was when the nation lost Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru to a plane crash on May 21, 2021, four months as the Chief of Army Staff. 10 officers also died on the day.
Although there is nothing anyone can do to rewrite the ugly event or bring the dead back, a biography was launched recently in Abuja to immortalise Attahiru.
Titled: ‘A Man, The Soldier, The Patriot,’ the book was written by Niran Adedokun. The Attahiru Foundation also premiered the ‘Ibrahim Attahiru, a Soldier’s Soldier’ documentary.
The book’s unveiling was in commemoration of Attahiru’s first anniversary since passing away. Professor Wole Soyinka, the Emir of Bichi, Nasir Ado Bayero; Attahiru’s wife, Fati Attahiru, and other top personalities were in attendance.
