Unizik is Peaceful Compared to Other Universities ~ Students

* Recently, Angel Network News Reporter had an interactive section with Students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, on matters of security and cult clash on campus

* The students disclosed that Unizik is the most peaceful university in Nigeria

When asked to related the nature of cult violence at Unizik, the students revealed that the school is quite peaceful compared to other universities where cultists clash occur almost on daily basis.

Speaking during the interaction, a First year student of English department observes: “I wouldn’t know for others but for me, Unizik has been calm and peaceful ever since I got admission.

I haven’t really witnessed a cult display of violence within the school and even outside the school where I live.”

As it were, most of the First year students had good things to say about the security of the school and most of what they said were supported by the older students.

Another 300 Level student of mechanical engineering in his own submission praised the absence of cult violence in the school. He says:

“I wouldn’t say their are no cults in Unizik, of course there are group of students who have chosen to deprived others of their peaceful existence in the school environment and outside the school.

But since my three years at Unizik, I have never stepped on anybody’s toe consciously and even unconsciously because I mind my business and I have never been harassed by cultists.”

Corroborating this, a final year student of Microbiology advised new students to face their studies which was what their parents sent them to school for. According to him:

“There’s no gain in being among the bad eggs in school, there are only regrets. Do what you are here for, which is to build yourself up academically, Morally and socially.

Make your parents proud and be of good example to all looking up to you. I don’t think it’s too much of a person to do.

Angel Network News embarked on this interactive session with students of Unizik because of the recent increase in cult activities in Nigerian campuses . Cultism is one of problems that threaten the security of students in universities. Obviously, the insecurity in the universities are eventually exported into the wider society.
