2023: Atiku Is The Best Candidate For President – Arthur Eze Insist

 

Peter Obi advisers his supporters not to lose focus

A businessman and prominent Anambra indigene, Prince Arthur Eze, has again said the Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar is the best man to replace President Buhari.

Eze while speaking at ‘Dunukofia at 25-plus’ on Wednesday 28 December 2022 after receiving an award of appreciation for the efforts in facilitating the creation of Dunukofia LGA and his contribution to it’s development said he has know Atiku Abubakar for along time and that after the election, PDP will definitely emerge victorious.

ANN recall that the Ofala Festival of the traditional ruler of Ukpo, Eze disassociated himself from the presidential ambition of the Labour Party’s candidate, Mr Peter Obi.

Eze said he was not part of Obi’s presidential aspiration because he has seen that the former Anambra State governor cannot win votes in the Southwest and in the North. The businessman made the comments in the presence of the state governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, traditional rulers, women groups and prominent people of the state.

He explained that he had already warmed Obi to withdraw from the presidential race, but he refused to listen. Eze pointed out that Soludo is the person that is being ripped to become Nigeria’s president of Igbo extraction in the time to come.

He said, “I warned Peter Obi to withdraw from this race but he would not listen. I told him plainly that I am not part of his plans. I told him to drop his ambition, and wait for next time. When he told me about his ambition, I asked him the states he thinks he can win in the west and in the north – he told me; but I was not convinced. I told him he could not win; so that he would not waste his time and money.”

Meanwhile, Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi, has described Chief Arthur Eze as a respected Nigerian who is entitled to his own opinions and beliefs.

He stated this while reacting to the statement of Chief Eze urging him to step down from the presidential contest.

Speaking to journalist at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, Obi described Eze as a respected father not just in Igboland, but in Nigeria. Her said like every other person, Eze had the rights to his own opinion, beliefs and freedom of speech, which should be respected.

Appealing to his teeming supporters, Obi advised them not to allow what some consider as adverse comments to dampen their spirit or force them to lose focus on the goal.

“Such speeches should always be taken positively as reminding us that we still have several hurdles to cross and to remain focused at all times, without being dragged back,” he said. Obi reiterated his preparedness to remain with many suffering Nigerians, who see in the 2023 election, the hope for Nigeria to overcome the sufferings of the past and start a new chapter in her development.
