Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate for the People’s Democratic Party, has come under fire from actress Kate Henshaw for remarks he made about the Labour Party being well-liked by Nigerian youngsters in advance of the 2023 general election.
Atiku recently stated in an interview with the BBC that the Labour Party cannot expect to succeed since they are only beginning and without structure, a local government chairman, or a governor to deliver votes. When informed that the party is well-liked by young people, Atiku replied, “Let the young people vote for them.”
Kate Henshaw who reacted to Atiku Abubakar’s comment stated that “arrogance is not a good quality of leadership”.
She also said that the PDP presidential candidate should know that the percentage of youths participating in this election is far greater than the old and elderly.
The actress tweeted; “Someone said they have no structure… Let the youth vote for them… so shall it be…!! The percentage of youth is far greater than the old and elderly… So shall it be… Arrogance is not a good quality of leadership.. Shikena”
