The candidate of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) for Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency in the just concluded House of Representatives election, Dr. Amaechi Nwachukwu congratulates the candidate of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Lady Maureen Chinwe Gwacham on her victory.
Dr. Nwachukwu says electoral contests are like sports where winners and losers would always emerge and urges Lady Gwacham to use her mandate for the good of those who elected her.
The orthopaedic surgeon maintains her election to represent the good people of Oyi/Ayamelum is a trust bestowed upon her by the people and shows the confidence they have in her. He urges the member-elect to work hard to serve the people honestly and diligently irrespective of their affiliations of political party and other considerations.
Dr. Nwachukwu further emphasizes that having been elected, the biggest focus should be on how to improve the lives of the people and work for a greater Oyi/Ayamelum as a Federal Constituency stating that, with the elections over, it is now time for governance which requires unity, dedication and sacrifice.Â
He assures the APGA candidate of his support and cooperation in the discharge of her responsibilities, urging her to hit the ground running as soon as she takes the mantle.Â
The medical practitioner also salutes the courage of those who stepped and voted without any form of inducement, but walked home hungry and thirsty hoping for a new Nigeria. He congragratulates them for maintaining to be the heroes and heroines of the election. He assure them that the new Nigeria they seek will arise in no distant time as long God Almighty is on the throne.Â
Dr. Nwachukwu, who is also the Medical Director, Princeton Specialist Hospital and Orthopaedic Center Awka uses the opportunity to thank his campaign organization, supporters, admirers across the Federal Constituency for their support while the campaigns lasted, saying that he respects their decision at the poll. He expresses optimism that next time would be better as the future is bright.
